On May 8th, 2019 the news that was announced during the Chad Davis Shoot awards ceremony became official, the Sagittarius Archers have partnered with the Vancouver Canucks to raise funds for the Abbotsford Canuck Place Children’s Hospice. To honour this partnership, the Fraser Valley Blacktail Buck Shoot has been renamed to the Shoot for the Kids, in support of Canuck Place Children’s Hospice effective for 2019 and the first annual shoot will take place July 13 & 14th. We will be collecting money donations and items will be raffled off to raise funds for the children and their families. More details about this event are to come.
The Sagittarius Archers started raising money for Abbotsford Canuck Place in early 2019. Two beautiful hand turned bowls made by Sagittarius Archers members Ken Davidson and Ross Gordon, were donated for the 25th Indoor 3D. Over the weekend the two bowls raised a total of $610 for the children and families at the hospice. The grateful response Sagittarius Co-Chair, Darren Mulrooney, received from Abbosford Canuck Place when he delivered the donation prompted the start of the official partnership. Another bowl was donated for the Chad Davis Memorial Shoot and it raised $243 for the hospice. We would like to thank the archery community
We are very excited about this partnership which allows the Sagittarius Archers to give back to a local charity and would like to sincerely thank the Abbotsford Fish and Game Club and archery community for your support.
